DANIEL ANTOINE : BIOGRAPHY Author compositor, Daniel ANTOINE is a complete artist: Pianist, organist and singer, it practises the funk blues with cheerfulness and tonicity. It begins the music in the medium from the years 1970 and during ten years turns with Backstage, group of precursory blues of Paul Personne with whom it carries out several rounds and recordings to the album 24h/24. Daniel Antoine assembles then the Cush group, accompanies Pierre Vassiliu, then, in 1991, it creates in Toulouse the group of funk "Marie and Antoines". In May 1994, it makes the first part of a concert of Touré Kunda, in which it showed its love of rythm' N blues. In October of the same year, at Jazz on its 31, the festival of Haute-Garonne, it presents at the Bikini, a Toulouse concert hall, the support band of a gig of Macéo Parker, old sax of James Brown. In 1997, the album live, "Hey you", is recorded with the Bikini. It is then during three years of many rounds to the Hammond organ, with the drummer texan Uncle John Turner and the brazilian guitar player Nuno Mindelis (friendly of Muddy Waters and Paul Orta). With the occasion, Daniel Antoine gives concerts with some of the best musicians of the area: Philippe Bonnet, Aymeric Soula, Jean Philippe Perez, Akim Bournane, and on the occasion the large saxophonist Abdu Salim. Daniel Antoine also composes of the hip hop, the rap (for example with the Prozact group in 1994) and of the advertising film musics. |
